SkypeKey and SkyPeBX Support

Tip: many installation problems are due to inadequate power supply from a bad USB hub or cable.

Check your USB cable:  If a manget attracts the middle of an unshielded cable, the cable could be defective as it is made of iron. 

Note: The settings of the device can be changed to work for Mac or MS Windows.  Please read the bottom half of this page.

Note: the blue LED light looks DIM when the application software is not running or is not running normally.

Mac SkypeKey software

Important: Use SkypeKey for Mac or MS Windows

SkypeKey can be used for Mac and MS Windows.  However, you must change the settings inside the device before you use it for one or the other platform, i.e., Mac or Win.

Please download the following RAR file, double click on the downloaded file,  and double click on 'winmac.exe' to change the settings.

After the change, you must unplug and plug in the device to make the new settings take effect.

You can change it back and forth between Mac and MS Windows settings by double clicking on 'winmac.exe'.

If your computer cannot handle RAR file, please download the RAR program from the internet.

We apologize that the winmac.exe program only runs on MS Windows.
